Out now: Cloudfish album!

Monday, 08.30.2021

October 2021 Hartog and violin master Jasper le Clercq released their debut album ‘But Is It Art?’
Prepare for a genre defying sonic trip with this duo called Cloudfish. But Is It Art? invites the audience to open their ears and hearts, and come on an emotional journey with them. This music is positively eclectic and does not fit in one box. A crossover of indie, ambient jazz, improvisation and more. The album was mixed by Udo Pannekeet and released on the ever adventurous TryTone label.

EYSIR with strings

Friday, 07.30.2021

During the corona lockdown we were offered to use the beautiful concert hall in the old Maria Roepaen monastery in Ottersum for a day. All concerts were cancelled, the building was nearly abandoned.
The acoustics in this chapel space are something special, and we added a string quartet to give our songs even more depth. They had never played together before but played with heart and soul.
We dedicate this video to a good cause, the Voedselbank. We kindly ask you to also make a voluntary donation. Watch the video here :

My new album “No Hero” is out now! Full of fresh flavours provided by drums, keys, horns or strings, this second album is quite a step away from the first. I’ll be touring together with drummer Rowin Tettero to promote the new album. I hope to see you at one of my shows …

Hartog & Luke Nyman

Monday, 01.25.2010

From March until May I will be touring together with Luke Nyman under the monicker “The Karma Parade”.

This song was written by Luke and captures just about everything worth singing about: love, longing, mistakes great and small, mildly spiced with his typical sense of humour. It was the first song we ever did together so we chose it as a title.

We will be playing guitar and singing on each other’s songs. Plus we are both working on a new solo album, so we can sneak in some new songs.

Luke was born in London and has been performing as a singer-songwriter for years. He released albums like Man In A Box and Naked Flame, and toured with other songwriters under the name The Travelin’ Tunes.

London calling!

Saturday, 07.4.2009

In July I go to London. To play my songs at clubs like the Monkey Chews, Queen Boadicea and the Icarus Club. And do a live session for South City Radio.

I can’t wait to find out how they like my songs over here. The singer-songwriters in London sound great, so this will be an inspiring trip for sure!

Quiet Fire album out!

Tuesday, 05.5.2009

Finally the first album of Quiet Fire is out on Kraak Records!

Quiet Fire is songwriter/producer Joachim Staudt and singer/songwriter Hartog Eysman. They met when they both played in the broken beat soul band Flowriders.

Hartog is the singer and co-writer of the 8 vocal tracks on this album “A Deeper Shade Of Bright“, that also contains 4 instrumentals. The album is filled with electronic soul songs, that are cinematic and atmospheric, maybe even romantic in character.

Check it out on myspace !

special project

Monday, 03.9.2009

The last couple of months Hartog was busy rehearsing with Alias Smith & Jones.

This duo project with drummer Joop van Erven combines free improvisation with famous cover songs. Think of songs like ’Sign Of the Times’ (Prince) with a lot of colours and rhythms. Alias Smith & Jones performed live at Theater Kikker (Utrecht) and did a recording session at the end of March at the Edgetip Studios. You can see them again at Aardlek (Apeldoorn, 19 April).
